DISPEC Training School

The DISPEC Training School took place from 21 to 25 September 2026 at CIHEAM-MAICh, Chania, Crete, Greece. 

The lectures and hands-on sessions focused on exploring ionospheric disturbances, observations, modelling, signal propagation, Machine Learning, and the spatio-temporal characteristics of the ionosphere.

During the hackathon, the students worked in teams, bringing together the knowledge, methods and tools explored throughout the week to develop their own solutions to the challenges they selected.

A diverse group of participants come together, not only to learn from the School’s lectures and practical activities, but also to share experiences, build connections and enjoy the week together.
